Exhibition "THE PROTESTER" in the halls of the House of Humour and Satire - Gabrovo / Bulgaria,2016

Start in July with a new exhibition at the Museum "House of Humour and Satire": in Hall 7 are arranged 56 cartoons by 44 artists on the theme "protesters person." At first glance there is nothing surprising, because it was one of the topics of 22. MBHSI in 2015. The surprise will come when you start to browse the selected works! You will find that the art of caricature is sensitive senses - such as artists and cartoonists. And add that the thematic line starts with caricatures of bygone twentieth century, bears scars of unrest artists from 23 countries on several continents, then certainly talk to the protesting man will become curious and interesting.

Each of us has their disagreements, grievances, everyone just indignation, outrage, not approve this or disagrees with different things, there are objections as important to him problems. But when it gets the focus of the master humorist and satirist, then acquires social significance, coming out of the narrow framework of "home" and became important to many people. So tiny protest of a baby in a stroller against artificial feeding resonates as a major theme of modern times (Dragutin Kovacevic, Croatia). The term "protester man" is not that old, but the exhibition shows several "protest" by nearly three and four decades in this country from the former Soviet bloc. Yes, then he protested with Aesopean language, but mastery came to virtuosity. Creative handwriting many have developed into unrecognizable longer direction (compare drawing Lubomir Mihailov from 1977 and look at some his current work). Both then and now his "Without Words" will make us nastrahnem - and tear that melts chains and two fingers raised in the familiar sign ...

The exhibition presents the famous Michael Zlatkovski (Russia), a longtime participant and winner of awards from the International Biennial, not one year has been out of favor (here represented by a Firebird). The exhibition "protesters person" does not purport to follow political discourse.
