Theme: LAUGH AT SERIOUS MACHISMO
The Circle of Comedians and Historians of the Union of Journalists of Cuba and the San Antonio Museum of Humor de Los Baths, convene the XXIII International Biennial of Graphic Humor to be held , with the coups the direction of the direction Provincial of Culture of Artemisia.
Comedians and historians, inspired by the slogan”LAUGH AT SERIOUS MACHISMO” invite their colleagues from Cuba and the world to project with their works the debate around patriarchal discrimination, gender violence, inclusive language and the empowerment of women.
Participation in the meetup is open to all graphic comedians who can compete with free theme. Original works will have to be submitted digitally and with the signature and data of the author or author.
They can be done in any technique, delivered in JPG format, with a resolution of 300 dpi and no less than 1500 pixels on the side.

Humorous little story
Tomy Prize for Political Humor, in memory of the beloved cartoonist Tomás Rodriguez Zayas, who would be turning 74 this 2023. The Tomy seeks to award the best exponents of counterhegemonic, anti-imperialist, left-wing graphic discourse. This time the theme will be MEDIA WARFARE.
He will be entered with a play in each of the categories, plus the Tomy Prize for Political Humor.
First names and surnames (besides stage name)
Equal data shall be included in the information itself of the digital works, title the file with the name of the author and country of origin, as well as clarify in the body of the message and in the subject matter, the category in which it is competing, and whether the work it is for the prize Tommy.

OF THE JURIES
The admissions jury will select the works submitted to the contest that will be exhibited at the XXIII International Graphic Humor Hall of San Antonio de los Banos.
An international jury made up of prestigious figures linked to graphic humor will award the awards.
The decisions of the juries are non-appealable and participation in the contest entails acceptance of all terms of this call.
Of the awards
Eduardo Abela Award, highest award of the contest. It is given in homage to the outstanding Cuban cartoonist (1889-1965), consisting of credential diploma, trophy and metal.
First, second and third prize in each category and how many mentions the jury considers, consistent in diploma.
Tomy Prize consists of diploma, trophy and reproduction of an author’s work.
As it is tradition, several Cuban cultural and social institutions join the contest and give side prizes.
