The First International Cartoon Art Exhibition /China, 2024/Part-1

“The mountains are beautiful and sparse, the water is clear and clean, and the scenery is like Xiaoxiang, so it is named Xianghu Lake.”

Drawing with cartoon, satire and humor, full of fun, is called “cartoon”.

Art has no borders and culture belongs to all mankind. We should help cartoon, a special art form, become the new cultural commanding heights and let international fine cartoon gather in Xianghu Lake, Hangzhou. So the cheerful laughter will spread to every corner of the world.

The First International Cartoon Art Exhibition in 2024 is “hot” in the sweating summer. It may be the biggestcartoon exhibition with largest artworksaround the world so far. The exhibition will demonstrate 800 excellent works from more than 50 countries, providing visitors a special visual feast.

The exhibition consists of three major sections: humor, the pursuit of a happy life,making people relaxed and happy; sports, the pursuit of a healthy life style, both physical and mental excellence; environmental protection, the pursuit of a better lifeand a green home.

The selected works are cartoonists’ wonderful ideas. Even if withthe same subject, artists from different countrieshave different understandings and angles, and each one of them is wonderful. Undoubtedly, artistic, interesting and educational cartoon are the best choice, because the meaning of the exhibition lies in friendliness, harmony and happiness.

Visitors’ laughter is the greatest compliment to the exhibition. Wehope people can experience a wonderful “Cartoon world tour” at the World Tourism Museum in Xianghu.

Explanation of the source of exhibition works:

The works in this exhibition come from the Hangzhou Asian Games International Sports Cartoon Exhibition, the 3rd China Modern Humorous Cartoon Exhibition, and the College Student Environmental Protection Cartoon Illustration Competition. Among them, many works that were not exhibited at the time due to venue limitations were exhibited.

The organizers of this exhibition are China News Cartoon Network and Zhejiang Cartoonists Association.
