Art and Innovation at Gökkuşağı Cambridge International School/Turkey 2026
Art and Innovation Meet at Gökkuşağı Cambridge International School:
Future Artists Unite Art and Technology in an International Art and Sustainability Exhibition in the Metaverse!
ANTALYA – Gökkuşağı Cambridge International Schools is bringing together art and technology in an extraordinary exhibition by combining 29 years of educational
experience with the academic strength of İstanbul Gelişim University (IGU).
The exhibition, titled “Colors of the World: 1st International Culture, Art and Sustainability Exhibition,” transcends physical boundaries and expands into the Metaverse universe.
A Digital Symphony of Technology and Art
Our exhibition blends traditional canvas artworks with the possibilities of the digital world. Brought to life through the Artsteps and Spatial.io platforms, the Metaverse
exhibition space offers visitors from around the globe the opportunity to explore the artworks through an immersive virtual reality experience.
This technological integration reflects IGU’s innovation-driven vision, extending it to the level of primary and secondary education. Emphasizing the innovative
dimension of the project, Abdülkadir Gayretli, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of İstanbul Gelişim University, stated:
“As one of Turkey’s leading universities in patent registrations, we do not limit our vision of technology and innovation to higher education alone. This exhibition
demonstrates our determination to bring digital transformation to the level of basic education. While preparing our youth for the future, we aim to equip them with a
global vision by harmonizing art and technology. As IGU, we will continue to leave our mark in the digital world with the principle of ‘The Technology of the Future,
Today’s Education.’”
Sustainability and Environmental Awareness at the Core
The main theme of the exhibition is Environment and Sustainability. Our students and participating artists from around the world draw attention to the climate crisis
through artworks created using recyclable materials and eco-friendly techniques.
Raising Awareness for Endangered Species: Caretta Carettas
During special workshops organized as part of the exhibition, students focused on one of Antalya’s iconic and endangered species: the sea turtles (Caretta caretta).
These art-driven awareness projects align directly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 14: Life Below Water).
Academic Excellence and International Vision
Organized under the academic patronage of İstanbul Gelişim University—ranked 1st in Turkey for citations per publication in the QS Europe 2026 rankings—this event
reflects the international (IB & Cambridge) educational quality of Gökkuşağı Schools across its 8 campuses.
Nur Betül Gayretli, Board Member of Gökkuşağı Cambridge
International School Antalya Campus, stated:
“Art is not only a form of expression, but also a powerful advocacy tool when combined with technology. Our students’ engagement with environmental awareness in
the Metaverse world is the most tangible outcome of our 29-year vision.”
