Press conference of the 3rd International Congress of Argentine Tango at the National Academy of Tango
Last night I was held at the National Academy of Tango, Av. De Mayo 833, the press conference of the 3rd International Congress of Tango Argentino organized by the Transdepartamental Folklore Area, National University of Arts to be held from 16 to 19 June 2015 Sanchez de Loria 443, City of Buenos Aires.This conference on the premise that the Tango Argentino is part of the culture and identity of our people. This great ambassador of the national culture in the world, has been declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. In this sense, we consider it vital to generate academic spaces needed to guide us in the move towards excellence. It was this objective that motivated the organization of an international congress, which will be attended by teachers and specialists of Tango Argentino, nationally and internationally, to promote academic debate and training. It is our intention that this meeting has as axes dialogue, sharing of experiences and exchange of ideas among the most experienced and those looking for new art to express what they feel through forms of Tango Argentino. This approach with professionals and artists from home and abroad allow us to glimpse a most successful current reality of the tango scene.
The objectives of this conference are to create spaces for discussion, artistic and research around the Argentine Tango academic environment, make intergenerational exchange of knowledge between teachers and specialists Argentine tango, as well as other stakeholders (teachers, students, researchers, academics) as potential carriers of specific knowledge to interact and disseminate group and individual cultural diversity as a result of the approach to different approaches and ways of doing and experiencing each and every one of the various expressions of tango.The themes that will focus on the congress will be:
1. Tango Argentino and artistic expressions.
2. Tango Argentino and education.
3. Tango Argentino and health.
4. Tango Argentino and cultural industries.
5. Gardelians Studies.
