1. INTERNATIONAL CARICATURE COMPETITION

The Power of Humor for Human Rights!

" larıHD Istanbul 1st" organized by the Cultural and Arts Commission of the Istanbul Branch of the Human Rights Association. The International Cartoon Competition" aims to draw attention to human rights, increase social sensitivity, create awareness in society by using the power of humor and getting out of everyday life and reflecting the messages of human rights in the striking language of cartoon.

1. The competition is open to amateur and professional artists of all the world.

2. The topic of the competition has been determined as Human Rights.

3. The artworks that will be entered in the competition are free. The works may have been published but they must have never received an award in any contest before.

4. The competition consists of 2 categories: General Category and Turkish Prisons Special Category.

5. A digital certificate will be sent to all participating artists. Artists who participated from prisons in Turkey will be sent printed certificates.

6. Participants can submit as many works as they wish. However, a painter can not be given more than one prize.

7. Cartoons to be submitted should be at most A3 (29.7cm x 42cm) in size, 300dpi resolution and in jpg format.

8. All artists must send their name, postal address, phone number, email address, short resume and a photograph along with the works.

9. The exhibition and award ceremony of the competition will be held in Istanbul at a later date. The prizes of those who were unable to attend the award ceremony will be sent to their addresses.

10. The cartoonists who participated in the competition are considered to have accepted the above conditions.

11. Competition is organized by the Istanbul Branch Culture and Arts Commission of Human Rights Association.

12. Whether caricatures participating in the contest receive prizes or not, by the organizations organizing the contest, Exhibition, Poster, Book, Album, e-Album, Calendar, Brochure, etc. can be evaluated in broadcasts, can be broadcasted on the internet.

14. The results of the competition will be announced on 30/09/2024.
