The International Exhibition Collection Of Cartoon Humor "Call for Iran"/Slovakia 2026

"Living statues" cultural event in Spišská Nová Ves will take place from 1. August 2026 in Chyž - Center of Independent Culture to present the exhibition Call for Iran / Call for Iran.

The international exhibition was created on the initiative of Iranian author Saman Torabi and Peter Rázus, curator of the Brain Sneezing Gallery in Prešov. The extremely tense and often unclear conflict situation between Iran, the USA, Israel and other countries does not naturally bring a smile to the face.

There is therefore dark humor, cruelty, fear or hopelessness in works, but also a hope for a positive change.

Iranian authors Javad Takjoo, Mojtaba Heiderpanah and Saman Torabi have already exhibited in Prešov and their work reaches an extremely high level. This international collection is complemented by works of leading creators such as Viktor Bogorad, Marcin Bondarowicz, Angel Boligan, O-SEKOER and others.

The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to see how art can transcend borders and seek human dimension even in times of deep geopolitical crisis. Through satire and visual metaphors, this unique collection becomes a universal voice calling for understanding, peace, and freedom.
