Call Of Cartoons For Exhibition During CARITOON Kochi /India,2023

1. Introduction

Kerala cartoon Academy ( KCA ), India ,invites cartoonists from the word over to participate in the forthcoming International cartoon exhibition being organized as a part of the 3 rd season of Caritoon Kochi ,2023 ,a cartoon mega event being planned in May 2023.

2. Rules

1 . The submissions will be accepted only from international

cartoonists (excluding those from India) who are above 18 years of age.

2. The exhibition will be organized in the month of May 2023 in the Durbar Hall of Kerala Lalitha kala Academy in the city of Ernakulam, Kochi , in the State of Kerala.

3. Only 2 entries are allowed for each participant.

4. These can be previously published or awarded .

5. All graphic techniques are allowed.

6. Texts are not allowed.

7. Themes shall be Free. However some of the suggested themes are as follows but not not necessarily restricted to :-

a. Global Warming / Climate change

b. Floods

c. Forest fires

d. Nuclear Wars

e. Other Natural disasters

f. Terrorism

g. Racism……..

8. Political cartoons are not accepted .

9. 100 Cartoons will be selected for exhibition and will be given a “Certificate of Participation and Selection”

10. Such cartoons will remain the property of KCA, to be used for awareness programmes as and when required.

11. Subject chosen shall not be offensive or hurting the sentiments of other people , and should be without any racial slant.

12. Participants can send their works in colour or in black & white.

13. The works should not be more than 1.5 MB in size and should be in jpg/jpeg format. Works in PDF format will not be accepted.

14. All submissions shall be in ‘portrait’ format .

16. The Participants should provide their full name, country, and e-mail address in the Appendix below and should attach a high definition colour photo.

17. Links to a digital catalogue of the exhibited cartoons will be sent to all exhibited authors .

18. The last date of submission will be 25th April 2023
