11th International Festival Economia/Italy,2016

The tenth edition of the Festival has made us understand how the urban context, and the extent and nature of the networks of relationships that enables the development, are important in promoting or inhibiting social mobility. This eleventh edition wants to study more deeply the territory, only recently rediscovered by economists addressing area: the economy of space, of geography. We will host economists, urban planners, demographers and sociologists experts of agglomeration processes. We will give space to those who have now or have had in the past an active role in the governance of these territories, aware that the rapid growth or decline of an area pose complex problems of governance, not only at local level (Tito Boeri, Scientific Director Festival of Economics).
